Welcome to Essex Rabbit Rescue! This is a small rescue centre based in Southend–On-Sea. I take in unwanted rabbits with a view to re home them in loving homes across Essex and surrounding areas. If you are thinking about taking on a rabbit then I would ask you to think very carefully about it before you take the plunge they are very lovely creatures and will need lots of love and care and dedicated time to them.

Have you the time? Can you afford the vet bills? Rabbits need injections twice a year for myxomatosis and can get disease just like us humans. Do you know how long your pet will live? They can live up to 10 human years are you taking the responsibility for your pet? Owning a pet rabbit takes lots of love and care Children lose interest, so what happens then? That’s where we step in as to allow any rabbit a home for life not just when it is a kit. These are things to think about. Last year there were 33 thousand rabbits rescued.If you have a heart then please think about that and the idea of giving one of these unwanted animals we can give them another chance of a happy life.

We run in conjunction with other rabbit rescues and we all try to find a loving home for all of them We are a non profit making organisation. Money coming in is spent on running cost, cages ect.
